"Mo'?! What are you called, Ahhhhhhhh?" [Sep. 20th, 2007|10:47 pm]
[state | bouncy]

Two entries in one day. Rarity for me. Sentence fragments also.

Is it just me or does the orange vitamin water taste a lot like Sunny Delight?

"We've got some milk, soda, purple stuffffff..."

I'd drink the purple stuff.

Today was pretty good and work-like. I hired somebody, I fired somebody (well, kind of). I did managerial things. I also hard to park in our handicapped spot for a while. Minutia. MINUTE MAID.

Hmm I wonder if that means liek a small housekeeper.

Sorry.

Yes I spell "like" as "liek". It's a habitat.

SO yeah houses. We looked at the one on Ryders and it was actually very very good and logical. The only thing is that someone else wants it too (OH SHI') so we're not quite sure if it's available for us. But we shall see.

Still need to check out the Spotswood one and see hat the story is there.

I really really rly need to play with my band or do Hammer Brothers again or SOMETHING because it's just getting goofy. I haven't done either of those since AUGUSTA.

DES MOINES.

STATE CAPITALS.

Juneau the capital of Alaska?
OH Raleigh?
No.

Apologies.

Things that are happening this weekend:

MAN-YANNI
-Work (what's that?)
-Fellowship (ALL ABOARD)
-whatever else happens after that

SATTYDAY
-Day in the Word (is bond)
-other things?

SONNY
-Yankee game (I forgot about that)
-maybe more house-look?

MONKAY (not part of the weekend, I know)
-BAND PRACTICE FINALLY

40 years from now
AARP!

arf!

So that might be all I have left to say !

Have a good night!

HWODY

THIS IS THE DAY WHERE I SAY HI AND HOW ARE YOU AND WHAT'S NEW. I'M VER'FINE, THANK YOU.

I don't nose.

We looked at HICES yesterday. Actually only one but we made manny contacts. Not with anyone named Manny though.

YASP.

There was a bad house on Cottege Avenue in Milktown that was not even finished being work-ed on and it was stoooooopid and I kicked it and it died.

Hi look at me I'm seven years old !

SEVEN UP. HEADS DOWN. THUMBS UP.

I used to hate that game. I thought it was completely unnecessary. Can't we just have silent reading instead? I'd like to catch up on my SUPERFUDGE, thank you very much. Don't have time for this thumb game nonsense.

Was that Judy Blume? I think so.

Today around 6 o'cluck we're looking at a hizzy on Ryders Lane, apparently across from Target. Terrif. Nothin says home sweet home liek a house on a busy main road across from a major department store !!! And I didn't even MENTION the Home Depot possibilities !

I'm really not that bitter, I pormise.

Even if I am, it's only because I just want to move already and every place we've found has been Tyler Perry's House of Shitty Sitcoms.

*laugh track*

I did find one in Sportsweed though, about 3 seconds from where we are now. Of course it'll probably be the bad but you NAVAR KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA GET!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the purdy weather yet again.

Oh and after house yesterday we went to Carraba's on 18 and I had what is possibly the best bruschetta and calamari I've ever haid. GODAMAR! BRUSCHET!

DON'T BE A CHOOCH !!!

or a Chong.

Bad jokes.

Bad yokes.

Good eggs.

I think I'm an egg.

Clickity clack jack
punching you in the noggin
clickity cluck chuck

bless you.

Pumpkin Soccer [Sep. 11th, 2007|02:19 pm]
[state | i balance plates on my head?]

You know how most normal human beings will close their car windows before a virtual monsoon?

Hi I'm Joe Marotta, and I'm not normal.

On the surface it seems as if, hey, "WAH WOULDN'T YEH CLOTHE YER WINDAS, BOYH?".

Apparently the antagonist is a farmer from Kentucky.

Well, Billybob, honestly I typically would "clothe" my windows. However, typical is such a relative term when speaking about my '84 Firebird Pinto 1988 Cadillac COUP DeVille.

IT'S LIKE I'M AN OLD MAN WITH SHARP WIT. It really kind of IS like that sometimes.

ANYHAT.

My car is not typical. It's really not. Unless of course you consider "typical" to mean being able to open either window about four inches before it falls off the track. Because that's what happens in that car.

Now, you may say "EY BOYH WAH DUNT Y'ALL JIST PUT YER WINDAS UP WHEN THEY FAW?".

Shut up Billybob.

They have to be pulled back up, using my fingertips. Yes that sounds stupid. So does calling a terminal disease "AIDS".

My point?

IT'S NOT FUNNY MANNNNNN. THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS.

MAGIC JOHNSON!

The problem is that this fingertip method (technical terms) can only be performed when the windows are dry. Why? Ever hear of friction?

So now Billybob may ask another question,

"THE SOUTH WILL RAHS AGIN!"

No it won't. Shut up.

"WAH WOULDANT YEW JUS FRICTION THEM WINDERS UP?"

Well, I would. But see, I've been neglecting The Weather Channel, Weather.com, News12, the news, the sky, and people in my office, who when you ask them about snow in the winter, one will say "It's supposed to be 14 degrees and we will get 7 inches" and another will say "It's supposed to be 7 degrees and we will get 14 inches" and yet another will say "It's supposed to be 41 and you're all retarded.".

So as you can see, I have not been factually prepared for the weather!

Alas, my car as wet, I am wet, and my steering wheel is apparently made of clay because I get my steering wheel on my hands when I drive.

In other news, it's raining out.

[state | punctuation attacking me eye!]

Welp!

It's Sunday, for shore. Don't call me Pauly Shore.

And here we are yet again on the Fabulous Ali Baba Hotel and Livejournal ~!

We looked at two houses yesterday. One was on Summerhill Road in Perth Brunsfis (East Brunswick for all you normal people out there not named Joe Marotta, who do NOT think that corrupting names of New Jersey townships and other assorted municipalities is funny.) It was an extremely large house, so much in fact that it sat on 1.5 acres of land. THAT'S A LOT OF GRASS, DANG JETHRO!

Inside it was quite okay but see, our wonderful* realtor ignored the fact that our cap (hat) is $1800. This house? A MERE ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS. Or $2100. Either way Spanky, that's a lot of MOOLAH.

*clueless

Anyhouse, we took a small drive right over to Deerfield Road to look at casa numero MS-Dos and it was pretty goo'! Nice split-level with three bedrooms, two bafs, kitchen/dining room, living room, whatever room, and Florida room. Also the basement was finished. BOY was it done. No but really it was nice, and it HAD A BAR. That's the second house in Beast Runswick we've seen with a bar. Who knew?

Of COURSE, wouldn't you just KNOW that our terrific** real estate agent AGAINE overlooked the fact that our price fedora is $1800. This house? A MERE ONE HUNDR $2150.

**ignormaus of a

*Chandler Bing mode on*

OH COME ON

*Chandler Bing mode off*

She said she'd speak to the owners (who are retired and like to travel so you just KNOW that they need the extra $350) to lower the price.

Yeah, uh, that didn't work.

So right now we're still a-lookin'.

Kyle also bought some swank sunglasses.

Today I think I'm making spaghetti and meatbawls. 'EY THATSA SPICY A-MEATBALL!

I'm Italian, I can say it. I'm italic. I COME FROM THE LAND OF EMPHASIS.

So I have an idear for a song and I'd like to write it on guitar because I've been writing a lot on bass lately and I feel bad for my guitars.

Of course, I don't even have one functional guitar cable. I DON'T EVEN HAVE AH CABLE, LET ALONE ENOUGH CABLES TO NECESSITATE AN ENTIRE RACK.

So that's pretty much the story of the year. (Till the day I dieeeee). I used to like them. Ew.

Till then, WALK SMOOTHLY !

My uncle Pep is really neat
he drives a scooter down the street
And when the scooter's parts do fail
He walks along a wooded trail
On that trail, he lights a smoke
tilts his head and tells a joke
when no one laughs, he doesn't care
he finds a pond and soaks his hair
His head now wet, he runs around
to tip a tree and hear the sound
the sound is large and deafening
but he doesn't find it threatening
He leaves the woods and finds a car
and proceeds to drive it to the bar
whilst in the bar, he buys a drink
and takes a rest while he doth think.

"Television was a Wednesday evening wasted" [Jun. 26th, 2007|06:29 pm]
[state | content]

If you haven't noticed, I do not quite frequently update this nifty LiveJournal. In fact, my appearances on your friends page have been more sporadic than a New York Yankees win! (HI-O!) It's okay, I'm a Yankees fan, I can take it.

So what's been going on, you ask? Actually I'm not sure if you actually asked that, but really, if you didn't, you can stop reading NOW because this section of my update will be SPECIFICALLY CATERED TO THE KNOWLEDGE-THIRSTING POPULOUS THAT HAS BEGGED THE INQUIRY "What's been going on?", AND NO ONE ELSE.

SO DEAL WITH IT.

</funny>

Back in February I was promoted to the position of Marketing Supervisor at my job, less than two years after starting there in the role of people I now manage, an appointment setter (aka telemarketer). That has been going quite well, and for the first time in quite a while, I can honestly say that when I wake up for work, I no longer think to myself about how much I do not want to go. So that's a good thing.

Article II

I'm still living in Spotswood with Kim and Carter, except back in May, Kim's brother and nephew (who is five) started staying with us. Needless to say, it has been a smidge cramped in here, but not altogether bad. It's only temporary anyway.

NRT is still quite a band, and we still practice every Saturday. Shows? What shows? Seriously, I'll play them. Just give them to me. We'll do it.

So I finally broke down and got a cell phone recently. Nothing more to say about that, really.

Going to Boston in a month or so with Kim, Keiko, and Kyle. That's a lot of K's. IT'S LIKE I'M NOLAN RYAN OR SOMETHING. Baseball jokes!

I have this week off of work, so at least I get a brief reminder of what the summers of yore (whenever that was) used to be like. You know, not working.

Also Carter was on the news recently.

I don't have much else to say so I'll just call it an entry right here.

See you whenever!

Phones were crawling slower than a turtle to a proctologist. Business was lower than Kevin Federline's album sales. Bad Leno-esque jokes were being made too, apparently. The flowers he ordered for her refused to show up on time. Who knows if they even have showed up at all? They'll be dead soon. Snow and sleet (not hail) paraded down from the sky like proud Irishmen. Roads wrapped up in blankets, cars afraid to trespass. Seconds tick away but minutes outstay their welcome.

I don't even know where to begin.

Well I guess I do, I just figured I'd start that with some sort of intriguing line. Let's face it: it failed once I disclaimed it, but whatever.

I don't really have anything particular to write about. I really just haven't written anything more substantial than "LM" or "hubby wants CB in one month" (these are references to my job). A side note: my boss just lit a match for absolutely no reason.

But like I was saying, I have not written anything worth shit in quite sometime, and I think this is just a good idea for me to get myself back on the LiveJournal market. Well not really. I'm not even sure that there is such a thing as a LiveJournal Market, but if there was, I don't think I'd shop there because I imagine a poor produce section. And really, we need our veggies right?

Hi, meet my friend Funny's retarded little brother, his name is SHUT THE FUCK UP JOE YOU'RE NOT FUNNY.

Right?

I'm not going to bore you with details of my current life, (as opposed to my past or future lives? Nice job dumbass.) I'll just bore you with my dismal attempts on wordplay and humour. Or humor. Hummus.

Oh and by the way, happy February. Welcome to the shortest month of the year. Let's get it the hell over with now. Of and of course also, drunk=lol. Let me tell you something. No one cares about underage drinking exploits. No one wants to fucking see it or hear about it. It's not cool. It never was. It wasn't when I did it. It won't be when my kids do it. Or yours do. Am I up here on a pedestal trying to be Pat Robertson? I sure as hell hope not. But it can irk me when drinking supercedes other things that are actually more important. But shut the fuck up about it ok thx.

(The preceeding announcement was paid for by the n.W.o)

Hi I'm Joe Marotta, host of this livejournal. In today's special Christmas Eve edition, we will examine the classic work of Jerry Spinelli, "Maniac Magee". Our study will be threefold:

1. Impact on social behavior
2. True being behind the nickname "Mars Bars"
3. The brand of shoes worn by the title character on the book jacket.

I'd like to open the discussion with some questions from our readers.

From Tim in Salem, Oregon:

Rather than detailedly delve into the current shenanigans (sure why not) bouncing around my life right now, as if I haven't been away from LiveJournal for more than a year, I have decided to provide you with a fascinating* summation of the past goings-on and present doohickeys since then or so. Observe and enjoy, darnit.

*not fascinating

Probably the most signifigant change was in switching apartments in June. Our lease was up and Nick moved back home to Milltown, so we moved into a two bedroom with Carter. It's been a really good time and sometimes I think we think we're on Seinfeld. Or Scrubs. Later on he wore a Mets hat a lot. Sometimes he cooks Comet. But we love him anyway. Also, we have a kickin' 1990's style home entertainment center. I'm not sure if I'm being sarcastic or not.

Kim and I are still together, yes, and it is still really great. It'll be three years in less than three months. I really love her.

Turned 21 on August 29th. Interesting because I was still 19 the last entry I wrote. Not interesting for the same reason.

Yo Smackdown VS Raw 2006 is the funnest game ever.

Oh so The Hanans moved here like FINALLY. And they have an awesome house. So Geoff lives in Spotswood and shit. It's great. We made excellent chicken parm the other night. Also Jimmy Connor's Tennis for NES is fun.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED WITH THE YANKEES?!

Back in May, NRT played CBGBs twice. Of course, it's closed now, so it was great to sneak in there while we still had the chance to.

That reminds me: back in May, we (NRT) bought a friggin van. It was what, I think an 1985 Dodge Ram Custom or something. It had track-lighting, whoopee lighting, a CB radio, an intercom, and the worst transmission ever. It doesn't work now. :-(

Kyle joined NRT in July and pretty muched saved our band from breaking up, I think. We recorded some shit a few weeks later and it sounds better than anything we've ever done. Okay yeah that's not saying much.

No, SERIOUSLY, what the hell happened to the Yankees?

Oh yeah, my '92 Acura got really crappy so I had to get a new car, an '88 Cadillac DeVille. MY, MY, WHAT A HAPPENIN RIDE'. What's wrong with me.

For now I guess that's it. Just a reminder that YES I AM ALIVE.

See you in 2007?

That's the last time I take my dog's advice and open with a joke.

Sheesh.

Anyhow folks, it's only twelve days after my last update, which must be some sort of record for me. I'll recap as best I can.

Well, that weekend was good. Fellow on Friday and then ultra-Fellow on Saturday, complete with Milltown 4th of July festivities. Got to see some people such as Tipsy Crista and Katie. After fireworks was the Armstrong residence where Kim and I stayed over. The only thing I really remember about Sunday is that it's Hannah's birthday. Kim and I probably moved more shit around or whatever though. Monday the 4th Nick officially moved in, I think. Yeah. I think so. I really don't remember. But that was our first night together, the three of us.

Starting around Tuesday or so, Carter decided that he was going to live with us for the week or something. He also didn't wear a shirt a lot.

Stuff's been good. This past weekend I officially officially moved out of my house in Helmetta, turning in my key and everything. I haven't been there since SUNDAY. Wow. That is sarcasm by the way. But yeah all my stuff is over at Kim's...err...our place. Nick's fat. :-)

Oh yeah I'm at work I guess I should do stuff.

NRT shows tomorrow and Sunday the 17th.

[noise |Office noises LOLOL]

It sure has been a long time since I've posted here. Over five months, actually. That wasn't a complete sentence. Which is okay. Neither was that. Or that one I just said. Or that one either. Shit.

Let me start over.

I was born in 1985...

Okay not that far back.

A lot of stuff has happened since January such as:

February
Got sick
Ordered a lot of chinese food for a week
Quit smoking for five days
Saw Jon Konopack
NRT @ Brennersfest II
Got my car fixed

March
Got hired at telemarketing job
NRT @ Hamilton St and Bulls Gym
Recorded NRT stuff at Big Noize and Kyle's

April
Started telemarketing job
Started hating telemarketing job
Got promoted to a non-telemarketing position
Happy!
Got doggy!
and other things probably

May
Started getting sick of Eckerd
Got new bass!
NRT @ 282 in Harrison
Teen fellow
Double-dating w/ Kyle and Jodie beings!

June
Signed lease for apartment with Kim and Nick
Last day at Eckerd (June 2nd)
Started work here full-time (June 6th)
More night-time beachness and the double-dates continue!
NRT practices (as usual)
Started to slowly move
Specialness
baffo loves corn
Trix are for kids!
hats
8
ô¿ô
boof

Okay so anyway it is July 1st now and currently things look like this:

(if I had the resources I'd take a picture of my desk to show you literally how things LOOK, but I cant')

Official moving in of Nick and myself with the Awesome Kim should be happening within a week or so. Also, NRT has two upcoming shows, July 14th in Harrison and July 17th in Trenton.

Eh, just go here. or also venture to here

So I'm just happily sitting at work right now. I get out at 5:00PM and tonight is fellow (combined) and then probably food/stuff. Tomorrow is summer teen fellow II, and then Milltown festivities. Sunday might be Alicea's party and I think practice 8-10. Monday will probably consist of a lot of laying around and moving things, but not at the same time.

I apologize for not being my typically WITTY self. HEE HEE. I'm just, you know, at work. I'm fine though. I like candy.

Sometimes I wish I were 12 again. Or even, like...16. I don't know. I'm almost 20, I'm old. Although I should shut up because Kim's older than I am and she should rightfully punch me for bitching. Man I love her.

I dunno it's just weird working full time in the summer, for the rest of my life. You know? Anyone younger and still in school should really appreicate the easiness of it all. I'm Dr. Phil. HEY OPERAH WANT TO SEE MY MUSTACHE.

HAHAHAHA, yeah right. Me. NOT RAMBLING. LOLPALOOZA!

Anyway, yeah here I am once again, and HAPPY NEW YEAR all of you out there celebrating the year AD 2005. For those of you who aren't, happy Ox or Duck or whatever year it is now. If you don't use calenders, then there's a good chance you're not reading this anyway, but still, Happy New Year...even though you wouldn't reognize the new year due to your lack of calender, so really the point is academic. Ahem.

Christmas was GOOD baby. On the Eve of it, Kimbo and I went to my grandfather's in Monroe and hung out with the MAROTTA~! side of the family. We both received some nifty gifts, including a guitar tuner, bass strings, and a manicure set. Kim also got some cool stuff! LOL GET IT MANICURE SET IT'S REALLY KIM'S BUT I MADE A JOKE!

Anyway, I slept home, here, at my house right here in Helmetta, for the first time since September, just because it was Christnas Eve. Damn, there were a lot of commas in that sentence. KAMA THE SUPREME FIGHTING MACHINE.

Sorry.

On X-MAS day (LOL X's PORNO), my brother was here and them Kim. Kim bought me the FIRST FOUR AMERICAN BEATLE ALBUMS BOXSET! No shit! And I was totally surprised, seriously. It was awesome. Oh yeah also between my mom and Kim, I got about 284 pairs of socks. Never can have enough socks, I guess. We also got a DVD player that we're yet to use due to lack of RCA inputs on Kim's TV, but that is another story for another time.

Okay so me, Kim, my brother, my mom and Mike all went to Monroe to my Uncle's for the LUCCADANO~! side of the family extravaganza. It was actually pretty damn good. Especially the food. After THAT, I brought my brother home and Kim and I went up to the Armstrongs. We hung around there for quite a bit... The Carrs were there, among many others. Kyle and I played GTA SA for a while. We left aroun 10 and went to my house for the MAIONE/PELO GUITAR PLAYING HOLIDAY KERFLUFFLE! That means, Mike and his two brothers playing acoustics while their mom sang. I got in on the act and played bass, in an amp, just to be a dick. But it was fun.

OKAY.

This week, work was super-easy. KIM GOT A JOB. She got hired at Eckerd, and she'll be working Mon-Wed 10-3. WOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm so happy I could go take a shower, which I was going to do anyway, so I'm glad it worked out this way!

WEDS was band practice at BIG NOIZEY. We did a new song, called Heartburn, and it's much fun. We also did a 45 minute photo-shoot at various locations around the old places (not vague at all!) there. Oh yeah and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Carter's absolutely AMAZING speed dash in his car from New Brunswick to Papa John's on RT 18 in SEVEN MINUTES. Holy fuck. Sure I was fearing for my life but AMAZING TIME. Oh yeah, I guess it's more impressive when you consider the place closed at 10:30 and it was 10:25 when we left. And we were in the North Brunsiwck part of New Brunswick, you know, like George's Road and shit, right near Milltown.

Oh yeah by the the way. Just to be a whore, I'd like to say...

Thursday night Kim and I slept at the Armstrongs. There were supercool appearences by Jodie, Alicea, Keiko, and Rachel Shaff (!). It was fun. Then Hannah cut Kim's hair while Kyle and I got slightly inebriated while playing GTA SA. I think I finally made it to sleep around 5.

Woke up there on New Year's Eve, and I had work, which only lasted 1-2pm. After that, I picked up Kim, and we went to my dad's where he and Nancy took us over to Fiddleheads in Jamesburg to meet with my grandfather. AWESOME FUCKING DINNER! After that, Kim and I just hung out and quietly celebrated New Year's alone in my house. Then we had tuna.

Tomorrow I should be hanging out with my brother and stuff.

Okay this entry has been long so if you actually made it through the whole thing, I commend you. You deserve a cookie.

BUT YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT FROM ME!

Hello I'm back once again. Perhaps we should start on Friday, the day of the SHS Battle of the Bands.

Well first of all, Nick ran the whole damn thing, prompting Mrs. Bodak to buy him a cheesesteak and pizza for NRT. We got there pretty early, I think it was around 4 or so. Nothing happened really, just setting up stuff... amps, mics, whatever. Nick had Channel 3 film us, and also Douchebag Steve. So anyway, I'm not going to bore you with the details of everything, but suffice it to say, I was extremely happy (I think all three of us were) with the way everything went down. And thank you to everyone who came out to see us, and even those of you who didn't, thanks anyway.

Saturday was a Day in the Word at the Milltown Senior Center. It started at 1, so Kim and I got there around 12:30-ish. It was a good time, with teachings from Jerry, Carol, and Joe. Then dinner over there. Lots of good food and stuff. After that it was hangout time. It was Alicea's birthday so we all wanted to do something but there was really nothing to do so a lot of people decided to go to Davidson. Kim and I were going to but I didn't feel like driving to Somerset and I was pretty tired, so instead we just went back to my house and hung around there for a while.

Sunday was fun. I went home around noon and just relaxed. Called Katie just to talk for a minute, it was good to talk to her again. Then I called my brother and we went to the mall because I had to get some stuff for my mom and Mike. After that it was back to my house, and then I took him home around 5. Kim and I were planning on going to my dad's but he wasn't going to be there. That was okay, because Carter showed up at my house, told me to grab my bass and go with him. My bass was at Kim's, so we drove there and got it. He took us to Rising Star, and upon walking in I saw Nick playing bass with a longhaired Metal Guy and some drummer. Anyway, it turns out Nick's gf Megan's band had been playing there and Nick asked if we could. So we did. We wound up playing I guess 7 or 8 songs, in front of maybe 10 or 12 people. It was fun, though I broke my E string in the second song (Twist/Shout) so I had to play a FIVE-STRING bass, which I've never done. Well anyway it was good.

After all that, Kim and I went back to my house, and then called Kyle. We went up to the Armstrongs around 8:30 I guess. Then Kyle and I decided we wanted to play GTA San Andreas. So he drove me and Kim back to my house and I picked it up, along with Backyard Wrestling. We got Hannah out of her room and went into the basement and just played for a while, and also had food. After much video-game nerdiness, it was around 1am and I was so fucking tired so we left. It was great seeing Kyle again, at his own house, not just down for a weekend.

I think I fell asleep literally minutes after coming back here. Kim's still sleeping. Anyway I'm going back to my house, so yep, this is the end.
